Shrit To Skirts!

I stained this shirt when I was dying my sister's hair. Rather than just toss it, I decided to make the girls yoga style skirts.

The shirt is a Medium size women's knit shirt. I forgot to take a before picture, so I had already cut the bottom of the shirt off. I was able to just BARELY get 2 skirts out of the fabric! I was left with a tiny pile of scraps (a small palm full). The before photo is more true to life color.
K's is the one on the left. The flowers are covering the stains! On R's skirt I left the bottom unfinished so it would roll a bit when I wash it. They love their new comfy skirts!

  2. Thanks! I think that was the one I read a couple of weeks ago. I based it off what I remembered reading. The waist bands dont fold over, though, due to lack of enough material. If I had only made one skirt I would have done a folding band.
